Young and leaderless, A Far Cry is a small orchestra with big ideas—and a diverse repertoire. It brings together seventeen consummate musicians (twelve strings and five winds) from multiple continents, who offer imaginative programming that attracts enthusiastic audiences, whether at home in Boston, on tour, or partnering with the New England Conservatory of Music. The cooperatively directed group has also been the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum’s chamber orchestra in residence.
