Amadeus Virtuosi of New York
Saturday, May 22, 2004 at 8 PM

Elegant Viennese music is the specialty of Amadeus Virtuosi of New York, an ensemble of some of New York’s finest musicians: a string quartet, piano, and two charming vocalists. Amadeus Virtuosi’s programs typically feature waltzes by the Strauss family; operetta excerpts by Lehar, Strauss and others; virtuoso works of Kreisler, Paganini, Liszt and Rachmaninoff, and classics of Mozart and Schubert. Amadeus Virtuosi artists have appeared as soloists worldwide, in major string ensembles (Marlboro, Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center) and with the world’s premier orchestras (New York Philharmonic, Metropolitan Opera, Boston Symphony, Chicago Symphony, Orpheus, Vienna Philharmonic and Israel Philharmonic). Founding artistic director and keyboardist Mary Alderdice Malin has performed around the world and produced numerous New York concerts to rave reviews.
