Saturday November 4, 2000, 8:15 PM
Salvatore Accardo, world-famous violinist "with a wonderfully easy technique and a ravishingly beautiful, almost mesmerizingly mellifluous tone," established his Italian orchestra in 1996. Making their first North American tour, these 32 players are drawn from the highly-regarded Stauffer Academy in Cremona. Mr. Accardo and the orchestra will soon release an EMI Classics recording of all six Paganini concertos for violin and orchestra.
