The Pro Arte Singers
The Pro Arte Singers, founded in 1974 by conductor and musical director Arthur Sjögren, have been recognized by critics as "the most outstanding chorus in the East." With a repertoire ranging from the avant garde and specially-commissioned pieces to familiar classics, they have achieved international prominence through their many recordings and appearances on television and at major music festivals. A string and harpsichord ensemble will accompany the chorus in its Danbury performance. |
