Danbury Youth Services is open Monday and Tuesday 9am-8pm, Wednesday and Thursday 9am-9pm, and Friday 9am-5pm.
How much does it cost to see a counselor at Danbury Youth Services?
Danbury Youth Services' fees are based on a sliding scale, which means your fee is based on your income. However, we do not refuse anybody services for an inability to pay. Fees will be determined between you and your counselor during your first session.
How does Danbury Youth Services receive referrals for their programs?
Danbury Youth Services' receives referrals from individuals, friends, clients (present and former), the school system and other area community or state agencies.
How old do I need to be in order to get a job through Youth Employment Services?
In order to work for the Youth Employment Services you must be at least 14 years of age.
How do I hire a student through the Youth Employment Service?
In order to hire a student through the Youth Employment service you must first call the Youth Employment Service Project Director who will take you through the steps.
How often does the Earn-A-Bike Session run?
The Earn-A-Bike sessions vary depending on funding but generally run twice in the fall and twice in the spring during the school year. Call the Earn-A-Bike Project Director for an updated schedule at 203-748-2936.
What kind of summer camps do you have available?
Danbury Youth Services makes referrals to the Wilderness School which is available for children ages 13-16. The Wilderness School is either a 20 day or 5 day adventure based challenge course. At this time Danbury Youth Services does not offer any other summer camps. For more information on summer camps available in the area call the Infoline at 211.
