One-on-One Mentoring
One-on-One Mentoring
is a program
that matches youth with
adult mentors. These children are either residing in foster care, or are
receiving services from either the Department of
Children and Families or Danbury Youth Services. They
usually are lacking positive adult role models
in their lives. One-on-One seeks to provide these youth with someone who can give
them direction and structure. Mentors commit approximately 2-4 hours per week to
spend with their mentee, engaging in a variety of activities. All mentors are
screened prior to becoming a part of this program. Funding is provided by The
Department of Children and Families.
Danbury Youth Services, Inc. seeks mentors for One-on-One on an on-going basis.
