Nine regular meetings are held each year. There are no meetings in December, July and August. Each regular meeting consists of a business session and a program on one of a wide variety of topics, usually presented by an outside speaker.

September 20, 2013 - Danbury Museum and Historical Society, 43 Main Street, Danbury – 9:30 a.m. Harvest Market – 10:00 a.m. regular meeting
Harvest Market – bring plants, garden and design related goods, tools for sale. Also, garden produce and baked goods are welcome.
Guest speaker at 11:15 a.m. - “Gardening for the 5 Senses” – Fitness training for the senses - Tovah Martin is a perennial, heirloom, vegetable, and cottage gardener and is accredited with NOFA as an Organic Land Care Professional. She has authored many books and articles.

Guest speaker at 11:00 a.m. - “Still River Greenway Community Stewardship Program”- Review of the greenway project in the Danbury Commerce Park. Jack Kozuchowski was the Environmental Director of the City of Danbury for 27 years and is now providing consulting for special Danbury environmental programs.

Guest speaker at 11:00 a.m. - “Design Strategies from Great Gardens” common and innovative techniques for garden design issues – Rich Pomerantz is a professional freelance photographer specializing in gardens and people. He has published books, articles, and conducts garden & flower photography classes at the NY Botanical Gardens.
February 21, 2014 - Danbury Museum and Historical Society, 43 Main Street, Danbury – 10:00 a.m. regular meeting
Guest speaker at 11:00 a.m. - “Gardening with Birds” – a show and tell on gardening in concert with Mother Nature & birds, tips on habitats, care, feeding and watering. Colleen Plimpton has a Master’s in Social Work but switched gears to become a professional gardener. She is now a popular garden author, lecturer, instructor and coach.

Guest speaker at 11:00 a.m. - “Designing for the Environment” – understanding landscape microclimates and how to select and landscape for optimal health and sustainability. Amy Sampson is a Certified Horticulturalist and Accredited Nursery Professional. She is currently the Landscape Design Instructor for the CT Nursery & Landscape Association’s Annual Accreditation Program.
