Nine regular meetings are held each year. There are no meetings in December, July and August. Regular Club meetings will begin at 10:00 a.m. on the third Friday of each month, and will be held at the Hatters Park Banquet Hall located at 7 East Hayestown Road, Danbury, CT 06811, unless otherwise noted. A program on one of a wide variety of topics, usually presented by an outside speaker, will follow the meeting. A light luncheon will be served at approximately 12:30 p.m.

September 19, 2014 – Hatters Park, 10:00 a.m. – Meeting and Harvest Market – Bring plants, garden and design related goods, or tools for sale to benefit the Club. Also garden produce and baked goods are welcome.
Guest speaker at 11:00 a.m. – “A Look at Trees and Shrubs for Fall Color” – Adam Wheeler is the Propagation & Plant Development Manager at Broken Arrow Nursery. He is a recent recipient of the Young Nursery Professional Award from the NE Nursery Association.
October 17, 2014 – Hatters Park, 10:00 a.m. – Regular meeting
Guest speaker at 11:00 a.m. – “Compassion Garden” – Dr. Chris Kukk is the Director of the Center for Compassion, Creativity and Innovation at Western CT State University.
November 21, 2014 – Holiday Luncheon - Amber Room Colonnade, 1 Stacey Road, Danbury - Members and guests can enjoy a holiday demonstration program.
Designer: “Flowers in Art, Art in Flowers” by Remco Van Vliet, from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC

Guest speaker at 11:00 a.m. – “Saving Our Bees – One Yard at a Time” – Dr. Kimberly Stoner has been the vegetable entomologist at the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station in New Haven since 1987. Her current research focuses on pollination and bees.

Guest speaker at 11:00 a.m. – “Invasive Zebra Mussels in the Housatonic River: - Dr. Stephen “Mitch” Wagener teaches ecology, entomology, and related courses at Western Connecticut State University.

Guest speaker at 11:00 a.m. – “Fun Flowers: Making Every Day Extraordinary” – Trish Manfredi is an accredited NGC Flower Show Judge and is Design Chair for the CT Judges Council.

Guest speaker at 11:00 a.m. – “Container Plants” – Deborah Kent is a Certified Master Gardener and a student of NOFA’s organic land care training. Her company specializes in home garden design and she is a garden coach.
