National Association of Pastoral Musicians
The National Association of Pastoral Musicians (NPM) is an organization for anyone who recognizes and supports the value of musical liturgy. We are choir directors, organists, guitarists, pianists, instrumentalists of all kinds, presiders, cantors, and pastoral liturgists. We are members of contemporary ensembles, handbell choirs, and choral groups. Some of our members are young people in high school and college, while some are veteran directors of music ministries.

Active parish community in the Diocese of Bridgeport seeks an organist/director of music. Duties include: directing both an adult choir and a handbell choir comprised of volunteers. Successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Vatican II Liturgy and appreciation of rich tradition of music in the Church. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Three weekend Masses, holy days, prayer services, weddings, funerals, and seasonal liturgical services. Two-manual Wicks pipe organ and Yamaha Piano. Position available August 15, 2016. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
