National Association of Pastoral Musicians
Bridgeport Chapter
The National Association of Pastoral Musicians (NPM) is an organization for anyone who recognizes and supports the value of musical liturgy. We are choir directors, organists, guitarists, pianists, instrumentalists of all kinds, presiders, cantors, and pastoral liturgists. We are members of contemporary ensembles, handbell choirs, and choral groups. Some of our members are young people in high school and college, while some are veteran directors of music ministries.
We had several interesting events this past year - Sr. Carol Perry gave a lecture on Psalmody, Marjorie McGovern led a workshop for Cantors and we culminated with a choir festival with many choirs participating. We hope that you can join us next year for our events..

Bishop William E. Lori announced that 14 priests of the Diocese of Bridgeport have received Papal Honors from Pope Benedict XVI, carrying with them the title of "Monsignor." Of the 14 priests our own Fr. Andy is one to have these honors are bestowed upon him!
