Our Nature Center' Features:
• 80 acres of forever-wild land, nature trails, group programs
serving Danbury, Bethel, Ridgefield, Redding, Brookfield
and New Milford.
• Our 75' x 35' Field House with seating for 75 is open when
there is a program, or when advance notice is given.
The Field House features:
• Audio-visual capabilty
• Lab tables with 20 compound microscopes
• 30 individual storage spaces for students
• The Pawloski collection of local rocks and minerals
• A nature and science library
• Outdoor Features:
• Three educational trails
• Two limestone quarries used until 1912
• Wetlands and a stream for water wildlife and plant studies
• A restored field to attract songbirds
• A fireplace built by the Girl and Boy Scouts in 1932
