WORSHIP
Our Sunday worship service is held at 10:00 A.M., followed by a coffee and fellowship hour. A children's Time is a regular component of our worship service and nursery care is provided every Sunday. The Sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month. Special services are held Christmas Eve, Thursday evenings during the season of Lent, and on Maundy Thursday and early Easter Morning. Please contact the church office for specific times of the special services.
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
We are blessed with a dynamic and growing Sunday School program of seven graded classes that nurtures children in the Christian life from infancy through the 9th grade Confirmation program. Two active youth groups, for Middle School Youth and Senior High Youth, keeps our young people busy and engaged in service, fellowship, and recreational activities. Adult education opportunities include periodic programs on a variety of topics and themes.
MISSION OUTREACH
Our faith in Jesus Christ calls us to reach out beyond ourselves and to minister to others in our local, national and global communities. Through the United Church of Christ, we support mission work both nationally and internationally. Here in Connecticut, we are a covenant church with Habitat for Humanity of both Greater Bridgeport and Danbury; generous supporters of Danbury's Association of Religious Communities; providers of a monthly meal at the Dorothy Day Soup Kitchen in Danbury; deliverers of Meals on Wheels; supporters of Bread and Roes, a local hospice for AIDS patients, and the Danbury Interfaith A.I.D.S. Ministry; participants in the annual Redding CROP Walk; and contributes to numerous agencies that provide food, shelter and fuel assistance to people in need in our greater community.
