A minimum of two bridges are needed in order to integrate the four isolated overland trail loops.  The construction of these bridges is a complex undertaking, since they will be build in the floodway of the River.  We will be adding a photograph shortly of Bridge #1, which will show the location of installation.

The locations of the bridges are illustrated on the site map.  Bridge #1 is near the trailhead in Commerce Park and will link the loop of Zone 2 to that of Zone 4.  Bridge #2 will be near the centerpoint of the trail, connecting the property near First Union Bank to Berkshire Corporate Park (near GE Capital) and will link Zones 4 and 5.

The Alliance is still examining several options for the construction of Bridge #2.
