Who We Are

YRTA is the first teen organization in Connecticut to sponsor a Teen AIDS Awareness Youth Empowerment Conference.  Our mission is to:
YRTA first began in the fall of 1993 as teens from several high schools gathered to plan a World AIDS Day program.  During the second meeting, they chose to become an organization.  YRTA was born!

Red Ribbons

YRTA IS LOOKING FOR NEW MEMBERS!

YRTA invites teens from the Greater Danbury School Area to join our group.  Teens from Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Redding, Ridgefield, and Sherman are welcome to join and visit us every Tuesday from 5:30 to 6:30pm at Wooster School Student Center/Library.   Call Sasha for more information at (203) 748-4077.

Congratulations to all YRTA members for their recent award "Good Samaritan Youth Group" granted by the American Red Cross - Western CT Chapter.  YRTA will be honored with this award at the American Red Cross' 12th Annual Breakfast Ceremony on Friday, March 22, 2002 in Danbury, CT.
